Just decided to drop a note to say i have done all the registry tweaks you listed above.
Works great, i do notice web pages load 20-30% faster, downloads ~10% faster..., hey every little bit counts on a modem-dialup connection smile

--> Lucent 33.6k Winmodem, Win2K SP2, IE5.5 SP2

Oh, also though i'd post to keep your thread fresh & at the top:D, incase any new members haven't seen it yet.

Cheers,

PS: Good work APK.

Hey thanks AlecStaar !!!

The speedup tweaks works great for me, performance increase especially in dload speeds is very noticable. This is so useful for unfortunate dial-up users like me smile

Oh another ques.
After applying tweaks, sites like microsoft load really fast but when i ping microsoft.com, i get all request timed out. Why? Is it due to the ICMP redirect tweak?[/b]

Phew!! I must surely apologize to u AlecStaar for not noticing the links, what a splendid collection of resources. Sites like these are hard to find, i have done lots of searches on the search engines-7 or 8 of 10 sites that i checked out aren't really dependable to say the least.
