WASHINGTON--For the second time in a week, Microsoft and the government received an extension in an important court filing.

On Friday, U.S. District Judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly extended the deadline to 12 p.m. EDT on Friday a joint status report originally due Sept. 14.
