Alright, I posted this in the NT4 area (oops) so i'll repost here...

I have a quickcam VC Parrallel port version (The USB oen will be here tommorrow and will work with less problems *hopes*)... XP knows its there, but i cant get the software to install right... it wont detect it working, nor will it work .. when i attempt to use it (under yahoo) it says no webcams found...

is the QC VC just too old even if it has W2K support?

Thanks

Adam

This afternoon I was able to troubleshoot it to the VIA USB Host controller..not the cam. I've always known that via usb was a finicky thing... XP has native drivers for the cam. I purchased a $20 USB PCI card and all is well...works like a charm. Sad I had to buy something to make it work...but with no driver support for at least a few weeks..I didn't want to wait.
