Driver - GT Interactive in Win2k, help!

Recommended Posts

Has anyone been able to get Driver (By GT Interactive) to work in Win2K.

It is the best car game, it Rockscool

When i set the config, it comes up with "Configuration Error".

I have checked out DirectX (I have DirectX8) It seems that it is not supporting AGP acceleration. Though i have a 8mb AtiRage AGP2x Video Card. + PEntium II 400mhz, 128mb pc100 RAM.

Cheers.

The game works fine for me, though I had to downgrade my detonator drivers to fix graphics problems.

Did you mean DX8 isn't supporting AGP or the game isn't?

In the Display Tab for DirectX8

Then in -> "DirectX Features"

- DirectDraw Acceleration 'Enabled'

- Direct3D Acceleration ' Enabled'

- AGP Texture Acceleration 'Not Avaliable'

I have looked in the 'Box' and there is no Video Card 'as such' nor is there an AGP slot, The video comes straight off the motherboard.

Though on the installation disks and in "Device Manager" in Win 98 & Win2K the Video is called ATI Rage AGP ...

In DirectX 8 in Win 98 the AGP texture support is 'Enabled'

Any Suggestions?

Go check your mainboard's site for driver updates, or ATI's site(though if it's on board video it'll probably be at the mainboard site).

Also might try re-installing DirectX 8. There's also a patch on the gtinteractive site. Worth a shot. If not post again and I'll do some more searching.
