Hello there...
I am encountering bad performance in my WindowsXP RC2. Is is 'normal' or not? I mean:

Logon screen images fades and moves very slov (like framerate=5)

Mouse cursor stops from time to time

If simple task is run, performance monitor shows high rates - CPU usage (Kernel Times) is very high

...
[/list:u]

My hardware:

PentiumIIIEB with 256 Megs of RAM

RivaTNT2 Graphic Card (32MB) Model64 (Yeah frown )

Abit BX133 with ATA100-Raid Controller

IBM 20GB 7200RPM Harddrive connected to onboard HPT370 controller

4GB Harddrive to Primary IDE controller

Pioneer DVD (Slave), Cretive CDRW(Master) to Secondary IDE controller

Creative SB Live! Player 1024

3Com Network Card

USB ISDN Device

WinTV Hauppauge TV Capture Device

...
[/list:u]

Well... What could be wrong?

I think its the RAID.

XP doesn't like anything running off my RAID at all, that why I have it installed on a seperate ATA 33 (Yeah I know!!!)

The symptoms you describe are exactly what I had when I installed beta 2485/86/95 on my RAID
