Anyone know if the two will go together well? Right now its not so hot with windows because the sound card is one of microns(they modify all their products somewhat to make them special) and windows xp doesn' thave a sound card driver that i can find for it, and both soundblaster/micron say its each others fault for not making an xp driver...i'm thinking about installing fedora on it...anyone suggest it or against it?

Good question. You are not alone. The soundblaster sound card comes in many flavors, with a number of legacy models. There is a soundblaster module in the kernel, I believe, but whether it will work with your legacy card is the question.

There are just to many versions out there.

Sorry that I could not be more help.
