I was experiencing some network slowness on my home network, one machine with XP RC1/WinME dual-boot, the other computer runs just ME. I decided to play around with some of the Services in XP, and now I can't connect to the internet at all. I tried playing around a bit more and think I screwed some other settings up.

Does anyone know of a website that lists all Windows XP services and waht they do? Or if someone has/could make a list of the default settings for XP Services?

I had already disabled System Restore, so I can't go back and restore the settings.

Did you try to reinstall the tcp/ip stack? Whenever I feck up my nic settings. .i usually just go in, remove the tcp/ip , then add it again and config the ip/dns/gateway etc..
