After following a previous post about changing the IE6 animated logo i also found that the process re-enabled diskeeper 6 (which i had installed in win2k but was unaccessable after winXP RC1 upgrade).

The ie6 logo changing post: http://www.ntcompatible.com/vb/showthread.php?s=&postid=68803#post68803

Start | Run \ mmc.exe
File | Add/Remove Snap-in.
The OS will update the list of snap-ins and reconfigure the diskeeper one from a previous installation. You will now be able to access diskeepers full controls instead of the default cut down version.
