batch files and gamespy

Does any1 here know how to start CS from gamespy using a batch file? I mean i can start it but it will not connect to the server i have chosen. Instead it will fire up CS as if i had only run the batch file. I think that the prob is that gamespy needs to start the hl.exe to send it the connect to server paremeters. otherwise it doesnt work. Same thing happens with q3 arena and i have to use the in game server browsers which are totally crap !!
