Hi,
Since yesterday, I am facing a strange problem with my W2KS system- upon booting, for about 3-4 minutes, I can access internet and then it refuses to access the Internet. I can ping myself using my fixed IP cable address, but cannot ping default Gateway. There is no DNS resolution as well. IPCONFIG /ALL lists all correct settings. If I shutdown and boot in W98SE with exactly the same settings, there are no problems in accessing the internet. I have not installed any new applications that could change any settings.
Can someone help? How do I diagnose this strange problem? I will be much obliged for any pointers.
Thanks.

I would try this:
Uninstall TCP/IP, then reboot. Reinstall TCP/IP, then reboot again. Sometimes reinstalling TCP/IP fixes problems like that for me.

Check out the evet viewer logs.
is it a DHCP error? or gateway.
Also It might be UDP filtering or if you have anything like black ice installed.
