As many of you know, everythign that could go wrong went wrong..i finally got xp installed...but i wanted linux but couldnt' due to my cd roms being so bad...so, basically i called dell and they like fine we will send a technician to your place...and i'm like ok..then they go k your contract says no...so we will send you a dvd drive...so i guess i get a new dvd drive=) hope it will work..if so i'll be back in linux soon!

if you mean like on my comp it was that it wouldnt' read disk unless i messed aroudn the the drive for liek 10 min inserting and ejectin the disk...if you mean in linux..right now i don't have any..and if oyu mean where is hte problem that i did not install linux it is becuase my cd rom couldn't do the 3 disk installation becuaes it wouldn't read the disk=)
