Is there a command or service for the MMC or console (something similar to net view perhaps?) that would allow me to see which sessions are currently opened by my machine? (Note: Not the sessions users have opened under my shares)

Try typing 'netstat' from the command prompt.

This little program might also suit your needs (freeware): TCPView from Sysinternals. It has a gui interface, and shows more detail than 'netstat' does.

Ah yes... netstat, I forgot all about it.. <sigh> and I just rembered I can also use nbtstat for this particular instance..

Now then, I see the undesired connection and want/need to close that connection..
