X-wing Vs. Tie Fighter

I am having this crapping problem.

Every time I tried to click to play the X-wing vs. Tie figter. They always ask to install directx 5.2. I did click to install and then click to play again and, it ask again for directx 5.2.
HELP
My system operation is Window 2000 pro.

I've never been able to get Xwing v Te working under 2k, but you could try the compatability mode with SP2 or even the prog that came with the resource kit. Good luck, let us know if you can get it to work
