First of all I'm an idiot and a very desparate guy...
I have two h.d.s, one 4gb and one 10gb, I started reinstalling win2kpro on the 4gb which is the primary active disk but during the text part of the installtion, the part when you create and delete
partitions there was a delay when I tried to delete the 4gb partition
and without seeing what I'm doing, I accidently deleted the 10gb...

Please give me some hope and tell me there is a way to bring it back...

Thanks.

Ouch! Pay lots of money to a data recovery specialist if the data is that important, otherwise I'd say your pretty screwed.

Another option is to use PartitionMagic which I did and hell...I'm going to buy it!

It was a very stressful day...I think I'm going to take a nap...

If all you have done is delete the partition, then re-creating the partition exactly the same as it was before (ie. same size, same position on disk) will normally succeed in restoring it with all the data intact.

I suggest you use Partition Table Doctor to resolve your
problem. The software provides very useful functions:
Backup partition table, Restore partition table, Rebuild
partition table, undelete partition, Fix boot sector,
rebuild mbr,etc.

First thing I recommend you download the demo version of
Partition Table Doctor.( http://www.ptdd.com/download.htm )

Run the program and select "Rebuild Partition Table",
then choose "Interactive" mode.
