on a w2k system i want to install a burner and only my profile to use it and no one else if they log in to my workstation (security reasons)

I have deleted the start menu and program menu short cuts from all users and just put a shortcut in my profile and set neros folder to hidden and this seems to do the trick but i was wondering if this was the best solution ???

let me know

and didnt anyone know the answer to my last post regarding my pc shutting down if i try to encode a vcd from an avi ??

what you did works fine but only for users that don't know the existence of nero.if you have permissions to a user(say Power Users group) to access the folder of nero in the Program Files folder then anone can execute it from the cmd or even browse it.
To be sure go to ahead folder in Program Files and set the permissions so that only you have full control and other users have none.
i think that should work unless you don't want to bother if the users of your computer won't have a clue of how to run the program if it's not listed in the startup menu.
