Does anyone know how to update a WFP file in Windows 2000 SP2. Tried the SPCDisable=ffffff9d method, seems they fixed this in SP1 or SP2

Any help is appreciated....

Ekstreme,

What do you mean by a 'clean' install? Did you know that most versions of SP2 do not properly update some of Win2K's important system files? This includes some concerned with HD caching and in many cases this causes HD corruption on the first few reboots.

Incidentally, why are you commenting on the use of SP2 on someone's Win2K, when apparently you yourself are using WinXP? Are you getting mixed up?

just delete the file you want to replace from %windir%\system32\dllcache\ (and any other place you find it) and then overwrite it with the "new" one.

you don't need to disable wfp, just when it asks for the w2k cd tell it to go to hell.
