When I right click a folder or a partition, and click properties...

...absolutely nothing happens !!!

Just by installing SP2, how about that.

Properties on files work OK.

Well, I have no clue how to fix this.
Have anyone ?

Seems ok to me, a bit faster than it was to be honest.

Try reinstalling the SP.

Or uninstall it, (assuming you chose the option to backup the files before installation) and then reinstall it.

I have two hard drives and after installing it twice and getting the same result I just uninstalled it. What would happen is the 2nd hard drive which is also 20 gigs and is already formated with NTSF would show that it had to be formated before it could be used. So I did and when it was done it showed only an 8 gig.hard drive. Both times same thing. The main hard drive worked with no problem other then that. But until someone or microsoft can fix or explain this I guess it will be a while before I ever get SP2 to work for me.

Well, I uninstalled SP2, and everything worked OK again.
Reinstalled, and the problem came back, still no properties on folders or partitions.

WTF is going on ?

Did you install SP2 in the first place when MS say that only if it is useful when it will fix particular problems as listed by them?
Oh, and why pity the poor fools that buy Intel, I'd much rather pity those who go out and buy those nasty Via based boards....

I downloaded SP2 again, uninnstalled, reinstalled.
Now everything is working as it should.
