adsl tweaks and trick?

Just got my adsl and now am asking you to post any adsl tweak settings that you know of to get the line working better, better pings in games and so on, just for fun!

What program are you using to dial to your isp?
You should give Raspppoe a try, some folks say it gives faster speeds. I didn't notice any difference here, except that now i'm actually ABLE to connect to my isp, with their default crappy program i just couldn't, the bastards smile (btw their program was enternet)
