I am too lazy to set up a proxy, so I just drop things like this in my 'hosts' file:

127.0.0.1 adserver.ugo.com
127.0.0.1 ads.web.aol.com
127.0.0.1 www.qksrv.net
127.0.0.1 www.ad.tomshardware.com
