Hi Everyone,

I am considering installing Linux on my personal computer and was wondering if anyone could point me to a "Linux Primer" that would answer some basic questions. Basically, I've grown tired of having to deal with problems on my Windows XP machine and would like to investigate the possibility of using Linux in some sort of dual boot mode before making the plunge entirely. Since I don't know much about Linux (other than it is supposed to be more stable than Windows), I thought if I gathered some basic information before jumping headfirst I might be better off.

Any suggestions \ information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

You can also read an introduction to Linux from the Linux Documentation Project. The Guide is here: http://www.tldp.org/LDP/intro-linux/html/index.html

There are a lot of other Guides, Howto's, Man pages, and other stuff at the main site: http://www.tldp.org/ (There is also a FAQ there that will fit in pretty well with the Intro Guide.) This may help... 8)
