The Xubuntu Team announces that as part of the Wily Werewolf

development, their Marketing Team have completed work on flyers which

can be printed by anyone and used at conferences, jams, and other

events. They say that they are available in A4 and US-letter size and

licensed by CC-BY-SA meaning you are welcome to remix, transform or

build using the terms of that license.

15.04, Users Urged to Update Now ===

 

Ronnie Tucker writes for Full Circle Magazine warning of kernel

vulnerabilities for Ubuntu 15.04 in the md and vhost drivers. Patches

for both vulnerabilities are already available in Ubuntu repositories.

Rascal23 writes that Zeljko Popivoda from the Linux AIO team reports

that Ubuntu 14.04.3 LTS is now available for download. It is

distributed as two DVD size images, for x86 (32bit) and for x86_64.

Unfortunately, MATE is not included as there was no MATE 14.04.3 LTS

release currently available.

Joey-Elijah Sneddon of OMG! Ubuntu! informs us that the Ubuntu

installer is going to get a "dramatic makeover" that will see

Ubiquity, introduced in 2010, replaced. He shows us some screenshots

of the proposed installer but says that although there are no firm

plans for its introduction it may not be too long before we can try it

out as the march to desktop convergence is now in full swing.
