I dont know if this is just bad luck, but ever since i started dual booting win2k and winME, my win2k partition has been acting up. It seems that just about every week i have to reinstall win2k because of win2k files getting corrupted. I never had this problem when i ran win2k alone either. I am using the NT bootloader also, and have winME on my C and win2k on my D. Both partitions are FAT32 as well. Any input would be appreciated.
thanks,
skeet

No problems here so far. I have Windows ME on C (FAT32) and Windows 2000 Pro on D (NTFS5).

Maybe you install Win2000 on a NTFS partition?

I was thinking about using NTFS w/ win2k then maybe that would stop any communication between the 2 partitions.. I might give that a try..

I have a dual boot with winme on c: and 2k on d: and i once had whistler on e:
c: = fat32
d: = ntfs
e: = ntfs

I use ntfs for win 98 in win me to access the data on the d: and e: drives

I have had no problems that i can attribute to my multi boot setup

My guess is that you have some type of virus or software that is corupting your win2k files

I dual boot same config as well no problems at all. I leave all Fat32 tho to make it easier to access drives in ME.. Get tired of rebooting to get to an NTFS volume..although you prol would benefit from using it if you have multiple drives
