Hi i own a ASUS CUSL2 mobo, i815E chipset, and a IBM deckstar 75gpx ATA 100,.. do i need to install the lastest ata drivers from intel ? because i installed them, and it changed my primary and seconday channels on the device manager to ULTRA ATA drive, and since that, i have had problems with my CD-r,
weird thing is that, it detects my cdr as cdrom as scsi devices...
but if unistall the ata driver, the HD wont be using ata 100 right ?
any idea what to?
cause when trying to burn im getting SCSI/IDE errors on NERO

put ur CD-ROM on a different IDE channel. i have a Asus A7V, KT133 based board. it has 2 regular UDMA 33/66 connecters and 2 ATA-100 connecters. i assume that's the way urs is?
connect the ATA-100 HDD to the primary ATA-100 connecter, and connect the CD-ROM to one of the regular UDMA 33/66 connecters.
