win98 SE performance?

Ok Im installing Win98SE on my desktop, what are the best performance enhancements or tweaks I can use to get the most out of it

for me i:

-don't put anything on ur startup list
-don't put anything on ur desktop as it would take the computer a bit longer to load
-for the screen saver, just put the blank screen on nothing fancy, as other screen savers take up resources
-untick show window contents when dragging
-don't download any 'enhancements' windows will run better if u don't run them

thats all i can think of now
