Now that's a matter for debate. heh. I would try Windows 2000 on there if it were me. wink Considering it's just a 166 NT4/2000 would be good on it.

You'd probly be better off with 98SE but you never know. Experiement.

Yup Win 2K would be pretty cramped in there, my Win 2K folder is 1.07 gig on size, ouch!

Well I have an 18 gig hard drive so I'm not too worried about it.

Then put ME on there but use 98lite. I've heard of people having issues with ME & 98lite so if that doesn't work out use 98lite & 98SE.

Well I put WinMe final on, and it runs ok but I think Win98SE would be a better performer. Any good tweaks for win98? I tried installing Win95b and Win98 but neither of them after the install could be coaxed into seeing my laptops cdrom, wierd since Win98SE picked it up right away. Sucks though because Win95B speed was was clearly the fastest of all of them. Damn wish I could have figured out how to get it to recognize the cdrom and 16 bit sound. thx guys
