Hi , i use a p3 800 with 256 megs cas 222 and a 30 gig maxtor 7200 rpm.
I use win 2k prof. only to browse or play games.
But my computer use my hd too much , well compared to win 98.
I set the pagefile to 384-384 on my c partiton where's the win 2k is.
And i have 5 partition of around 6 gigs in fat 32. (c,d,e,f,g)
But someone know some tweak for the hd and memory in 2k ?
I tried diskeeper to defrag , but iiish , it take's too much time to defrag.
The one built in 2k is 3 times faster then diskeeper ? odd.
And in win 98 with norton speed disk , it's a lot faster.
Well sorry about my english , if you can tell me some tweak , to have the best box in 2k to play games
P.s : and after a boot up , i have around 205 megs free.It's seem's ok , but like i said , win 2k still use my swap too often hehe.

Just read thru some of the guides on this website, turnin off the disk performance monitors and some services will fix that problem for you.
