Changing location of Print Spool directory - How ? W2K.

Subject says it all.

Curently under winnt\system\32\spool\printers, I'd like to relocate it.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Print\Printers

change the value of DefaultSpoolDirectory to whatever you want.

Thanks but I don't feel confident editing the registry - is there no other way ??

There is ..its just that at the registry you can assign spool directories for each individual printers ..

But in your case ..choose printer in settings
and then under 'File' choose 'Server Properties'. Then Choose Advanced
and you can specify your spool directory like that.
