I've got a Logitec Zoom webcam connected via a USB and am running Mandrake 9.2.

If I plug the webcam in, the whole computer just hangs - everything freezes. When I unplug it, the computer remains frozen and I have to reboot without the webcam.

If I start up the computer with the webcam already plugged in, the computer starts to boot up as normal but then hangs or freezes with the following boot-up error in 'verbose' mode:

Quote:
Finding module dependencies: modprobe: modprobe: insmod pwc failed

Does anyone have a solution to this? It works fine with Windows XP which I have dual booting in the same machine.

Thanks for the links. I'll check them out and if I successfully find a (or the) solution, I'll post it here. In the mean time, if anyone has the solution, please also post it here smile

Thanks.
