Question for you W2K experts:

I currently have a W98SE (C smile + W2K Pro dual boot (D smile setup but my Win98SE is kind of screwed-up (I installed too much junk there). I am thinking about converting W98SE to WinME for C: by killing c:\windows and do a clean WinME install. But I am afraid that doing so will kill the boot sector in the process and I won't be able to boot W2K at all!

Can anyone shed some light on this topic?

Thanks!

u can fix that by 2 ways.
1st u can boot from the win2k cd after installing winme and run recovery console and then type fixboot.
or u can copy boot.ini, ntdetect, and ntldr form ur root directory ie c:\ to a disk and then copy then back after finishing ur installation.
hope that this will help.
