Hey, Does anyone know if i could change the backround to the text on icons (i.e. "My Computer") to transparent? i know you can change it to whatever color you want but i would like to see my wallpaper behind them.

There is a util called CoolDesk, which enables this nice little gimmick. It also allows you up to 9 virtual desktops, which is excellent when you are working in Photoshop, Dreamweaver, mIRC etc, you just stick one on each desktop, and flip between them without cluttering everything up.

If you do recall, back when I was running 95/98 there was a website that had such a tool. You might have to do a search for the site but the name of the site was Jote Site. Not sure if they have it for 2000.

Instead of having larger programs like window blinds (not sure if shell toys has to be runnign all the time) etc, try this neat little program http://www.bit-net.com/~jadamg/transparent/
