when i 1st went on the net using my 56K 3com US robotics voice/fax modem using win2k, i thought i should connect atless at 49, 333bps where i used to when i had win98 but now i only connect at 49, 222. i know u may not think its not much difference but when downloading several files at the same time it is noticably slower.

has anyone alse had this problem and is there a where to speed it up?

The problem probably lies more with your telephone line than with Win2K. Check all your connections inside the house, then call the phone company and complain. If the problem lies outside your house, generally there's no charge for a service call.
