inverse cursor problem

you know how some of the cursors in windows can be inverse (that is they display the opposite colour to what they are over, such as the defulat text-select cursor), well since installing intellipoint 3.2 (i think) they have stopped working, any inverse cursor shows up as just black. i've tried uninstalling intellipoint and reinstalling 3.1, but no luck. any ideas?
