OK, here's the situation. One box is running W2k AdvSer. I have 2 NIC's in it. One goes to the cable modem, the other goes to a Linksys 5 port switch. Second box is running W2k Pro. It has 1 NIC in it, connected to the switch.

I do want to be able to connect more computers to this network in the near future, but just 2 now is fine.

First off, is this right? I'm using regular cat5 cable, do any of them need to be crossover cables?

Second off, please explain in detail exactly what I have to do in order to get ICS to work correctly.......Totally lost here......lol

Thanks in advance for any ideas or help!

Your hardware config seems fine. I believe you could also run the cable modem to the switch and have each computer go into it as well [saves you that extra NIC in the first box].

As for ICS, I'm working on that right now....

Good luck,
