performance Monitor in NT 4.0

performance monitor in NT4.0 server is not
loading counters.It is giving an error message "COMPUTER WAS NOT FOUND"
In event viewer the message is
"Cannot read the performance database counter names, reason The data area passed to a system call is too
small."
pl help me out .
