I'm using Xp+SP2, and I have the administrator rights. I can't run the regedit getting a message stating that "Registry Editing is disabled by administrator". This happened after I scanned my computer and found some Trojans and cleaned them. Any ideas to solve my frustration are welcome. Thanks in advance

Hi, I'm running windows 2000 advanced server. I'm looking for a russian keyboard character map to be able to type texts in russian. Windows XP does have this but not Win2K advanced server. Is there any way I can get win2k to support this? thank you in advance Regards

Go to File\Schedule Updates, and uncheck (Enable Scheduled Automatic Updates) or you can just click on Schedule new rules.

What's the difference between this card and the original fortissimo II? The tech specs on hercules homepage are identical and the cards seem identical by hardware and the drivers are the same. Is it possible to enable 5.1 sound through the original fortissimo II with a register hack on the drivers? Thanks in advance

Well, as concerned of if Win2K Rocks or doesn't Rock there might be too many different oppinions depending on the OS utlization, i.e. private ( for games, ICQ, Video Streaming and so on), and serious business application. I'm running W2K Advanced Server and I have discovered that in comparison to W2K Pro. its much stable and reliable, althougt it benifits the same core, kernel, and engine. The last uptime for the machine I run with it was 63 hours. (Ooooh). Unimaginable in Microsofts History. Have installed XP Corporate on Workstation with AMD Atholon 1,4-512 MRam. Well this is a Christmas tree. Why? Alot of fancey and unncecessary makeups for business although the OS has the same Kernenl as W2k but it can never come close to W2k Advanced server or File Server. SP3 for W2k? Yes, but not Beta thanks. I'd rather wait for (.NET)than XP

I think Memory*0,75 and or atmnost 1 is quite enought if the memory is ranging up to 512 Mb. I'm running W2K Advanced Server with 1000MHz Pc 166 Memory. And I have totally disabled pasging file. Inspite a very huge presure by Various applications I haven't notice OS to swap.
