how do i get my computer back to it's original state. there is no option for recovery and the dvd rom does not read cd's. please help.

i recently started networking and kept getting knocked off line. when i plugged in the wirless adapter it kept telling me that i plugged a high speed usb device into a none high speed usb port. the internet tech told me to upgrade my usb ports and a friend told me i could get an internal usb 2.0 card. how do i tell what kind of card my computer takes and how do i install it? please respond to my personal email address ltsmaw@bellsouth.net ( i'll check this faster than logging into the site)

IS THERE A WAY TO DOWNLOAD SOFTWARE IF ONE OF MY COMPUTERS ONLY HAVE A DVD ROM THAT DONT READ CD'S AND NO CD ROM? PRETTY SOON I'M GOING TO WIRELESS NETWORK.

a friend gave my kids a computer but under system it shows registered to her. is there a way to change this without having to buy some kind of software or something? it's windows xp and i dont have a cd or anything.

thanks, but i wnet ahead and purchased a usb mouse for 10.00 at officedepot. i do have another question, is a fast ethernet adapter the same as a wireless adapter? does newer pc's come with wireless adapters or just laptops? please help, im trying to network.

I WAS WORKING ON MY KIDS COMPUTER TRYING TO SETUP NETWORKING AND THE MOUSE WAS WORKING JUST FINE BUT NOW IT WONT. I EVEN TOOK THE MOUSE FROM MY COMPUTER AND PLUGGED IT IN AND IT STILL WONT WORK EVEN THOUGH IT WORKS ON MINE.PLEASE HELP!!!
