I have finally stop the program running by delete the icon on the StartUp folder in C:drive. However,another problem came out after I deleted some virus infected files, which everytime I start my computer, it will go to My Document instead of Windows desktop, why ?

I have recently installed PABX maintenance software to my notebook and I just do not like the program to be running everytime I startup my computer, how can I do it ?

Yes, it was jumpered correctly. This slave drive was working perfectly when the old primary drive was ok.

The HDD of my old PC P4 1.8mhz was damaged and it was replaced with a new one formatted with XP-SP2 V3 as OS system. I also installed a Primary Slave Drive (HDD) but it was not been able to perform neither can be seen on My Computer. The said Slave HDD can be seen on Bios set-up or during system start-up it was detected. Any one please help. Thanks

Hi, My sister's computer every time when running Internet Explorer 7, I noticed a short message appear on the 1st line of IE tool bar, " Virus is now ATTACKING your system from MAnz_Shidah". I scanned with antivirus/anti-spyware but could not fine any affected files. The only 2 log files I found on HijackThis were: a) HKLM\..\run:[manz_shidah_virus]wscript.exe C:\windows\system\manz_shidah.js HKCU\software\microsoft\internet explorer\main, Windows title = Virus is Attacking your system I also noticed there were a Jscript file = Manz_shidah and HTML document = Attach your system appeared on all harddisk partitions which were not be able to delete. My old desktop with XP Sp1 was attached by Virus and I had cleaned it but may accindental deleted some XP files. I am now having the following problems:- 1) I can'telete my internet messages where I used a thirty party domen service which used Javascrip to command for file deleting. I also can't go into 'Compose' page when using Yahoo Mail. 2) There was no Speaker Icon shown on the desktop but the audio feature works fine. 3) When a pendrive was plug in, the computer cannot recognise the equipment but when it was plugged in before the computer boot up, it work fine. 4) I suspect the Windows had been corrupted, how to repair it without reformate the harddrive ?

Thanks Myke. I refer to Asus manual only indicates that PC1600 (DDR200) or PC2100 (DDR266) to be used. Do you think it would work perfectly that I replace with PC3200 (DDR400)??

My old computer came with ASUS P4XP-X mother board and equipped with one 256MB PC2100 (DDR266) ram stick. Can I replace with PC3200 (DDR400) 1 GB ram ???

I have recently purchased a new computer came with WinXP pro, after copying and installed those MSDos program (mainly Walkie Talkie and PABX programs, I am disppointed that over 90% of these program would not run. Earlier I was using Win 98 2nd Edition where I can easily exit to MSDos or going to Command Prompt which may help to run these programs. Any solutions ? Thank you.
