To many it looked like Intel was ignoring enthusiasts with their latest RST
driver which supports the TRIM command over RAID setups on their Z, P, H
and Q chipsets. Conspicuous by its absence was X79 but after some digging,
Hardware Canucks has found out some additional information.

*Quote:* *Intel's Rapid Storage Technology (RST) **11.2 driver update was
rolled out to the public but the initial positive response was somewhat
tempered when enthusiasts realized their X79 systems werenÂ’t supported.
Only P67, Z68, Z77, H67, H77, Q67 and Q77 chipsets are currently listed as
certified, which tends to leave some IntelÂ’s highest paying clients
(enthusiasts and power users) out in the cold so to speak. Amidst the
outrage from understandably miffed enthusiasts, we reached out to Intel and
asked about their plans for X79 users. Their response should put some
customers at ease.*

We would appreciate it if you would post this in your News section.
