Hey Guys!

I'm new to this forum because I have an urgent problem:
Lately, I have been using my 8GB HP V135w Pendrive on PCs at home and at school. But suddenly, this device has not been detected by ANY machines. When I plug it in a standard USB Port, pops up a window saying that the device is ready to use, Ok. But when I go to C: Computer, I look and there is NO Sign of this flashdrive!!! I have tried it on several machines and the same thing always happens: "Device ready to use", but no sign. Please, please help me because it is very urgent! Thanks for reading this and please post a reply if you know or have any ideas how to fix this! Thanks!

Whatever operation system I have on my laptops, I have at least two, multi-booting. The easiest of adding Xubuntu, Pinguy. These operating systems (good quality freeware) install very quickly (~15 minutes) & easily onto and Windows hard disk. They will auto-install for most hardware, devices, networks, memory sizes, CPU, ... on your existing PC. Google Chrome, Chromium, Firefox, Thunderbird & Opera (Linux versions) all operate as always.

Other common error: USB storage (espec. flash drives) has hardware errors. More details needed here: one of my HP notebooks has two HDDs - yours too? The external drive - what kind: flash, optical FDD, HDD, USB-powered HDD, ... ?
